Amy P

At Timber & Steel, we believe that everyone deserves to feel strong, capable, and confident in their own skin. Today, we're excited to share the inspiring journey of one of our members, Amy P, who transformed her life by taking that first brave step through our doors.

At 47, Amy faced a challenge many of our members can relate to - the intimidating prospect of joining a gym. "My biggest goal in joining T&S was to overcome my fear of joining a gym," she shares. Like many parents, Amy wanted to keep up with her family during activities and set a positive example for her children about the importance of exercise.

The changes she's experienced since joining have been remarkable. Simple pleasures, like family bike rides, have transformed from grueling ordeals into enjoyable moments. "I can get up off the floor easier. Life is easier. I feel capable," Amy reflects. But the benefits extend far beyond the physical.

"I'm happier and more emotionally stable than I've been in a long time," she says. For Amy, her daily workouts have become more than just exercise - they're her sanctuary. "For that 60 minutes, my stress disappears... By the time I'm done, I feel accomplished, strong, capable, and ready to take on whatever comes my way."

What makes Timber & Steel special isn't just the workouts - it's the community. Amy's story beautifully illustrates this, as her fitness journey even brought her closer to her sister, who joined shortly after her. Together, they've found a new way to bond, challenge each other, and grow stronger.

Our coaches have played a crucial role in Amy's journey. Whether it's Coach Bridgett helping her regulate her breathing during challenging moments, Coach Jennie providing emotional support when motivation wanes, or Coach Anna pushing her to discover new strengths she didn't know she had, our team has been there every step of the way.

To those feeling uncertain about starting their fitness journey, Amy's message is clear: "Timber and Steel is the safest place you could possibly find to start this amazing journey. You will be encouraged, emboldened, supported, and pushed in ways that will strengthen you inside and out."

Looking ahead, Amy is excited to tackle her next challenge - nutrition. After a year of conquering fears and building consistency, she's ready to transform her relationship with food, demonstrating that fitness is truly a journey of continuous growth and discovery.

Stories like Amy's remind us why we do what we do at Timber & Steel. We're not just a gym - we're a community dedicated to helping people discover their strength, both inside and out. Ready to start your own transformation story? Our doors - and our community - are open.
