FITNESS OVER 65

Everyone should be able to live the life they want and not be hindered by chronic disease or immobility. Our legends class is designed for anyone 65 years old or older wanting to maintain the highest quality of life and reduce their dependency on others or assistive devices.

The training needs of the Olympic athlete and our grandparents don’t vary in kind. Grandparents just don’t need to train with the same intensity as an Olympic athlete.  Both need to be able to squat. Both need to be able to pick up objects off the ground.

The needs of the elderly and professional athletes vary by degree, not kind. Where one needs functional competency to maintain independence, the other needs functional mastery to maintain dominance. Improved hip capacity will help a pro ball player’s throw to first; it will also reduce the chances of grandpa falling in the tub.

FUNCTIONAL FITNESS FOR SENIORS IN NAMPA

The aim of our Legends class is to provide a functional fitness program that keeps our 65+ members healthy and active for as long as possible. This means we focus on the most functional movements.

It’s important to us that you can:

  • Get up off the ground without assistance.

  • Lift objects out of your car and carry them into the house.

  • Stand from a seated position without assistance.

  • Have a strong and healthy heart and lungs.

  • Maintain a healthy body weight and avoid chronic disease.

Our gym in downtown Nampa has classes twice a week to serve you if these are things you are also concerned about.

THE FITTEST SENIORS IN NAMPA

Just because you are over the age of 65+ doesn’t mean you have to attend our legends class. Many seniors have been active for many years and have a higher level of fitness, and they are welcome to attend our group training sessions.

The Legends class is run at a slower pace, with more time spent working around aches and pains. While the Legends class is a slower pace, each member of the class has seen improvement in their health and fitness and works hard.

We care that your quality of life stays as high as possible for as long as possible.

NAMPA’S BEST 65+ PERSONAL TRAINERS

Our coaches have been working with people over the age of 55 years for over 6 years. They are familiar with your needs and are able to adjust the day’s training to best suit you. Our class size is very small so you are sure to have a professional trainer watching you and keeping you safe.

Our coaches have been able to work around knee surgeries, arthritis, fibromyalgia, vertigo and other similar conditions. Come as you are and we’ll make you better and keep you making progress.
