You Don’t Have to Be a Runner to Start

A 6-week course for real people who never thought they’d be β€œa runner”

What It Isβ€”and Who It’s For

A woman running on a cracked asphalt street, nearing a construction zone with orange and white safety barriers, in a residential neighborhood with houses and trees in the background.

This isn’t a couch-to-5K program that leaves you guessing or gasping.

This is a 6-week, coach-led course designed for real people who want to build confidence, consistency, and cardioβ€”from the ground up.

Perfect for: Nervous beginners, former runners, and anyone who wants to feel proud at the finish line.

Whether you’re just getting back into fitness or have always felt like running β€œwasn’t your thing,” this course will meet you where you are.

We’ll guide you step-by-step. You’ll train with a small group. You’ll run at your pace. And by the end? You’ll call yourself a runnerβ€”without hesitation.

Why This Feels Different

Most running programs are all homework and no help.

This one is personal.

You’ll show up twice a week for in-person sessions with Coach Bertha, who’s known for her warmth, wisdom, and ability to make running feel safeβ€”even for people who’ve never done it before.

You’ll train in a supportive group, follow a plan that makes sense, and get just enough homework runs to keep you progressing without burning out.

You don’t need to be β€œfit enough” to start.

You just need to show up. We’ll take it from there.
