This 6-week training course will get you off the couch and get you prepared to run your first 5k race.

 THERE I WAS, STANDING TALL WITH A MEDAL AROUND MY NECK! I HAD DONE IT. I’D FINISHED MY FIRST 5K!

Six weeks ago I was out of shape and hadn’t really run since high school. I was nervous showing up for the first session but Coach Bertha was understanding and modified the workout to my (out of shape) level. I went to all 12 sessions, did my weekly homework and even did a few personal training sessions to work on my running technique.

It was hard work but looking back it was totally worth it. I accomplished a lot in those 6 weeks and now I’m standing tall with a 5k race medal around my neck. I did it. I completed a 5k race and it feels awesome.
